The Maxxis Shorty MTB tire is designed to ride in mud and soft ground.
After collecting years of data and feedback from our World Cup Downhill and Enduro World Series athletes, the Shorty is entirely new for 2021.
The button layout has been changed to improve wet grip, cornering performance and mud clearing capabilities. The narrower gut of 2.40? improves frame and fork clearance for when things get really sloppy and reduces weight.

- DH version, planned for the Descent.
- Flexible rods.
- Tubeless Ready assembly.
- Wide Trail (WT): Carcass optimized for 30-35mm rims (internal width).
- Gum blend: 3C Maxx Grip.
- TPI: 60×2.
